Kewpie Dolls are based on characters the cartoon comedy " Ladies' Home Journal " performed by Rose O'Neill and published in 1909 . The small dolls were extremely popular early 1900 . They were product to Ohrdruf , a small town in Germany. They were first made from biscuit then celluloid. In 1949 , Effanbee created the first versions hard plastic . The Kewpie doll later became the mascot Kewpee Hamburgers, a chain of restaurants fast-food originally founded in 1923.
Corporation is a manufacturer of Japanese food who became famous using the logo of the doll Kewpie mayonnaise on its bottles. With a design as cute kewpie doll does not unlikely to disappear soon.
